Temporary Graduate Visa Subclass (485)

There are 2 types of this visa. Graduate Work Stream and Post Study Work Stream. The applicant must meet the requirements as well as health checks for all visas to lodge this visa.

Graduate Work Stream

This visa is for international students who have recently graduated with skills and qualifications that are relevant to specific occupations Australia needs. It lets you live, study and work in Australia temporarily till your visa. Usually, it’s up to 18 months. It allows applicant to work full time.

This visa allows you to work, study and live in Australia till the length of your visa. Also, there is no restriction for travel on this visa.

Post-Study Work Visa

This visa is for international students who have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian institution. It lets you live, work and study in Australia, temporarily. Usually between 2 and 4 years, depending on your qualification.

Proof Of Enrolment (CoE)

You should have a valid Proof of Enrolment for student visa subclass (500) application. You will receive a copy of you Proof of Enrolment when you enrol.

Health Insurance

As mentioned above, student must maintain a health cover by Overseas Student Health Cover Provider. We can help you with arranging a health cover suitable according to your requirement.

Genuine Temporary Entrant Requirements

All students must need to provide their Genuine temporary entrant statement to Department of Home Affairs. They need to show their temporary visit to Australia for their education. They need to mention their background, studies, Finance, etc. Below are few points student need to mention,

Applicants with a select degree may be eligible for an extended 2 years on their visa see Eligibility

If you already hold a post-study work visa and are eligible for the additional 2 years with a select degree. Applicants with a select degree are only eligible to be granted the extended 2 years once and further applications for the extension will be made invalid.

Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years.
